In the escalating political climate of the near future where strategies on the battlefield must be delicately balanced with maneuvers at the negotiating table a new breed of soldier has arisen. Trained to be better than the best and outfitted with the most comprehensive array of high-tech gear ever assembled, the future soldier stands apart by his ability to remain undetected. He slips unseen behind enemy lines. He uses the perfect combination of diplomacy and force to achieve his objectives while remaining politically invisible. He is a Ghost.

New Ghost Recon for Wii and PSP

This is hot off the press, official confirmation straight from Ubisoft - Ghost Recon for the Wii and PSP, due out Fall 2010.

The Wii version (called simply "Ghost Recon") features a two man Ghost team take on 12 missions in locations such as Norway and Moscow.

The Wii version features two player third person co-op mode, with hot swapping supported - so your mate can jump into your misson anytime. Expect to see Ghost Recon hit the Wii in November this year. Discuss Wii Ghost Recon in our forums.

The PSP version is titled Ghost Recon Predator, and takes place in the jungles of Sri Lanka.

Featuring multiplayer co-op, Predator also boasts an "exclusive tactical experience". Ghost Recon Predator for the PSP hits the shelves at the end of September.

Ghost Recon: Alpha

So there was no hands on at comic-con 2010, but there was a showing of the new live action short coming in 2011, named Ghost Recon: Alpha so heres the clip. Enjoy :)

Ghost Recon Predator

So things are going pretty slow on the news front, while interest in the next Ghost Recon game seems to have dipped after E3, we are still optimistic about the next installment.

So although there has been no official confirmation, its been spreading around that Ghost Recon: Predator will be a new exclusive PSP game.

Predator was first spotted last year as a mystery trademark registered in Australia. According to this ESRB entry though, the Predator title is specifically for the PSP.

Gameplay at E3

New Trailer

GRFS (E3)

So its here, its finally here what we have all been waiting for gameplay, and too be honest i wasn't disappointed. I thought the game mechanics seem to work well and isn't as less tactical as i thought it would be, while there wasn't much coverage on the newer stuff and how it works, and while i thought the clocks were not needed, and god knows why the enemy couldn't see the ghost they stand out like a saw thumb, but i understand the player needs to know where he is.

I didn't think it was too alien in the context it was shown.

Also surprisingly Ubi like most publishers announcing at E3 have backed the 3D craze GRFS will be joining that club.

Overall you have made me a little more happy Ubi thanks.

Xbox 360 slim

At its E3 press conference today, Microsoft announced the brand-new Xbox 360 redesign. Smaller and quieter, the new Xbox 360 comes with built-in WiFi and a 250 GB hard drive. The wait for the new Xbox 360 is short, too. Very short. The new Xbox 360 ships today and will be in retail later this week. The machine costs $299, the same price as the existing 250 GB model.

The new Xbox 360 is primarily glossy black. There appears to be more vents on it for heat dispersion. The front of the machine has a sharper indent than the current hourglass design.

As if that was not enough of a surprise, Microsoft also announced that anybody at the theater for the press conference would get their mittens on a new Xbox 360 even sooner: Microsoft is shipping them a new machine immediately.

Well E3 2010 is finally here!

Well E3 kicks off today, ill be watching with wide eyes and reporting the major news on our site:

Project Natal street date leaked? And no, it's not October

Wait, we thought Microsoft Saudi said that Project Natal will be coming out on October 2010, worldwide? What's this we're hearing now that it's going to be on November instead? And what's more, there's a specific day attached to it.

Critical Gamer's source, Mr/Mrs. X, says that November 16th is the D-Day for the debut of Microsoft's much-anticipated Project Natal. The source further stressed that this street date is what is given to those in the industry on a "need to know" basis.

All these guessing about the release date -- it shouldn't be too long now anyway. E3's just about 'roundt he corner and we fully expect Microsoft to say something about this then.

GRFS Delayed

During Ubisoft's annual fiscal call this morning, the company announced it is delaying Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier until March, 2011.

The game was originally scheduled for release this coming holiday when the title was first announced.

"Due to a very competitive environment, we've decided to move the game out of the Christmas quarter into the March quarter," said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. "It will also provide additional time for our developers to realize their ambitions."

Guillemot also added the game will be showcased for the first time at E3 next month.

According to the anonymous source, essential parts of the gameplay will be streamed from Ubisofts' servers to customer's PCs, in effect ramping up the requirement for an always on connection from Ubisoft games. As for the timescale to roll out this new DRM ...

Rumor: GRFS natal compatible?

Sony has confirmed Move support in SOCOM 4,but what about Microsoft's own motion control system? Any shooters out there getting some Natal love? Rumor has it that Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is one such game.

The rumor comes from French gaming site JeuxVideo. Thanks to the folks at NeoGAF, we have this translation from the original French:

According to our sources, the upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier would be compatible with the device. A special game mode would therefore benefit from the recognition of movements, the aim being to keep the joystick in one hand and interact with the interface with your other paw. It is even possible to give orders through different types of movements directed by the wrist.

Note that it says "special game mode", which seems to suggest that it'll be optional.

E3 2010: Ubisoft announces presentation schedule

Everyone's gearing up to go full throttle now as we near this year's big E3 event. Ubisoft's setting up the stage for their presentation, and they want you to be there.

The publisher sent out an invitation for their E3 2010 press conference, to be held at the Los Angeles Theater. Their show will start at 5:00 PM on June 14, 2010. They didn't say what's in store, but for sure there's gonna be a lot to look forward to.

Slim 360 to be unveiled at E3...... 360 rebrand inbound

MS will reveal a slim 360 natal bundle at one of their two (yes, two) press conferences at this year's e3.

What's more the 360 will be getting a subtle rebrand, with a new logo and black as the new primary colour of the console. They feel that the new system needs to be black because a white Natal wouldn't sit well next to the typical gloss black tv.

The new system design is pretty neat.

And Natal? Let's just say you'll probably be both very surprised and very pleased by one of the games revealed... what is it?
Might Get Shot if I were to tell.

Microsoft considering expanding friends list!

Now that Xbox Live support for the original Xbox has been decommissioned, will Xbox 360 owners finally get a friends list that goes beyond the 100-friend limit? Microsoft is reportedly "considering" it.

Speaking to Xbox World 360, Microsoft product director Aaron Greenberg said that they are aware of what people are asking for: "We have heard from folks that they want to be able to extend the Friends List. It's something we are looking at. We haven't announced anything but it is definitely something that we're aware of."

Greenberg also teased that the friends list cap increase isn't the only new feature Microsoft is looking into.

"We're at that point now where that community has largely transitioned off and onto the Xbox 360," he said, "and now, by discontinuing that support, we're able to add more features without necessarily having to support things like that firends list integration where you could see your friends on Xbox 1 or Xbox 360.

"Having that new flexibility will allow us to bring more features to the Xbox Live Community on Xbox 360."

Last year, it was reported that Microsoft's inability to increase the friends list cap above 100 stemmed largely from technical limitations imposed by the original Xbox Live service. Microsoft pulled the plug on the service last week.

Gamestop are publicising an October release for Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
